Matchdays 2008

For the coming season the club will be introducing a new membership scheme (click here for a form) and revised admission charges for home games. This new scheme is to make matchday admission better value for Swinton supporters, and to ensure that fans don't lose out when they miss home fixtures in the holidays. Feedback from fans suggests that season ticket holders don't get best value by the time holidays, cup and play-off fixtures are taken into account, and this new scheme will address these issues.

This scheme will replace the season ticket, and whilst the standard admission rate increases, home fans should see significant benefits, especially juniors who, for the price of membership, get to see every Lions fixture - home and away - free of charge. Our aim is to make Swinton fixtures affordable for all young people and our "pocket money prices" make sure that we can achieve this. The scheme also means that loyal fans don't have a large payment to make in the run up to Christmas for season tickets, instead making savings throughout the season, especially as the members rate applies to all home cup and play-off fixtures.

Memberships are available in the clubhouse after the Workington game, and also from the club shop. Anyone that signs up on or before 9th September will receive a £5 discount on any membership fee.

Facilities

The building behind the sticks is split into three areas. All bars are situated on the top floor, there is a lift for wheelchair users. To the left, as you look, is the dining area for the pre-match luncheon, this area is also used after games for the players post match meal. The room to the right is the directors lounge where sponsors are entertained.

Central to the building is the main bar, open to all spectators. There is a snack bar inside the main bar that does hot drinks, chips etc.

Parking

The Park Lane ground is in a residential area, so please bear in mind our neighbours when parking your car. There is limited car parking available inside the ground at a charge of £2. The Parkfield Inn, a restaurant/pub, situated a few hundred yards before the ground, has car parking for about 30 cars and the owners have kindly offered spectators use of their car park. You don't have to buy a drink either, but if you are thirsty please pop-in for one before moving on to the ground.
